ABOUT THE FILM

Two Muslim women from different backgrounds meet for the first time when their worlds collide through a mutual third party.

Lande Yoosuf was the Director for this project.

“Love in Submission” received admission into the “Emerging Black Filmmaker Collection” distribution program under the Luminal Theatre, Full Spectrum Features, The NW Film Forum and Collective Circle. We screened our project in 60+ independent theaters throughout the United States.

The NW Film Forum also partnered with the 2021 Sundance Film Festival, and “Love in Submission” was part of a case study discussion about diversity in Hollywood!
